The Utility Policy & Management Community is guided by individuals committed to advancing scholarship, professional engagement, and collaboration in utility governance, regulation, policy, management, and public service. Community leadership provides strategic direction, supports programming and member engagement, fosters partnerships, and helps cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, regulators, students, and utility professionals. As the Community grows, additional opportunities for leadership, advisory, and volunteer involvement may be developed to support its mission and activities.
Individuals interested in helping shape the future of the community are encouraged to connect and get involved.
As the Community develops, opportunities for member participation will be structured in alignment with APPAM’s community model and procedures. Potential roles may include:
Community leadership or steering committee members
Programming and conference activity coordinators
Student and early-career member representatives
Practitioner and policymaker engagement leads
Working group or topic-area coordinators
Membership, outreach, and communications volunteers
Research, teaching, and resource-sharing contributors
Advisory members supporting community development and engagement
Additional leadership, advisory, and volunteer opportunities will be developed as the community grows and as formal organizational structures are established.
